Huh what BAZZING!!!

Well I just came back from my yearly venture to St Kilda's Palace to see Fantomas, I've been on a steady 5 year plan of seeing the Melvins & Pantsomas on alternating years, the round up of this years gig is as follows

Even though Fantomas fall into the miniscule genre of art noise metal I wish that the 'art' section didn't involve sitting in the Palace front bar for 2.5 hours waiting for them to come on. See they never have supports. In theory it works cause who the fuck would want to try & warm up a band consisting of members of Faith No More, Mr Bungle the Melvins & Slayer. fucking hell you'd end up standing on stage yelling at yourself to get the fuck off stage & let Fantomas on...

so yeah, a pissweak DJ of some form usually serves as support & they invariably BLOW, this years was particularly bad,

Several $6.25 VB cans later Fantomas have done with the 'Art' section & proceed to move onto the noise, ,metal section called 'the show'

The first fantomas album was mind blowing, the second album was nose blowing & the third album was ass sucking. however we're up to album 4 & this one is by far the best. What never ceases to amaze me is the Fantomas's ability to pull off the dischordant racket live 100% perfectly, but they do.

Overall I give the show 8.5 "I hope the Melvins tour with Jello Biafra next year's" out of 10
