Beyond Virtual

3d engine for indie games, with full Lightwave object and scene support.

Skaffen you better look into this. I'm not sure how scripting works - you might just drop triggers in, or C++, or maybe option for either.

But the point is it reads LW scenes and objects directly with no conversion and bullshit.
CGtalk discussion thread - might be worth a look out of interest.

You could forward sketches of levels and shit and I could whip it up pretty fast without having to think about it too much, and make up texture templates for 8ball to fill in, or whatever.

Space, oooh

Celestia, a space simulator.

Free, fun, time wasting. What more could you want.

18 inches of warm & fuzzy

GWAR!!!

I am yet to be caught up in the collectable toys/figure market to any great degree

But a full set of 18 inch poseable Gwar characters sounds like one of the coolest things I've seen this week.

& I've seen 20 sided Fluffy Dice

Charisma: 100

As a recent trip to the Glen Waverly Fish & Chip shop showed, I may need to find a replacement for my 'eightball' fluffy dice that have been adorning my car for the last 5 years (for no reason other than Stomp's 4yo dug them & I like buying stuff)

These Fluffy die20's could be just the ticket, if only they came in see through 'gem' style & you could put them on a pushbike

Whirling Disc of Death

I got one...

I bought myself one of these things for christmas. I have to build a helicopter from scratch that has blades about a metre across. I also bought a .32cc motor for it that I think runs on nitros. The remote looks like the raddest playstation controller ever built, including an antenna long enough to fish for dolphins with.

My only concern is that it's quite an ordeal to get the thing in the air. You have to join a club and get training, plus you can't fly it down the park as they are very good at decapitation.

Whirling Disc of Death

I want one...

A tiny Form Factor Media Centre pc that also looks like a Barberella era piece of furniture!!! BRING IT!

My only concern is that the CD discs wont hang out the front like that when they're actually playing, cause that would be just to fucking cool.

Burning a disc with it spinning up 440000 RPM & spraying everybody with red hot molten mylar..

Fuck yeah I want that shit.
